Vini completed his medical studies at the Federal University Foundation of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre, Brazil, in 2010. In 2011 he moved to Australia and after obtaining his AMC Certificate worked for two years as a clinical and surgical resident medical officer at St John of God Subiaco Hospital, Perth. Vini also worked as an assistant surgeon in breast and robotic prostatectomy, before starting his radiology training in Western Australia. He then became a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2019. Vini then relocated to New Zealand completing a one-year fellowship in interventional radiology. From May 2020 to May 2022, he completed an additional fellowship in interventional neuroradiology at Gold Coast University Hospital, where he works as a consultant interventional neuroradiologist. Vini has continually been involved with teaching and research. During his medical school, he was an anatomy and pathology tutor. In more recent years, Vini has delivered lectures to radiology registrars both in Australia and New Zealand, as a Clinical Lecturer of Otago University. As a native of Brazil, he is passionate about soccer and his other interests, apart from work, are going to the gym, running along the beautiful Gold Coast beaches, and enjoying time with family.
